How to use the site
Main navigation
The main sections of the site are always available from the navigation bar at the top of the page. Simply click on the title of the section to which you want to go.
The left-hand menu allows you to navigate through the sub-sections of the selected section.
Additional navigation
Previous/Next
Where a section contains more than one page, simply click the previous/next links to move from page to page.
Haircut sections
Step-by-step
Click on this link to go to the photographic step-by-step guides for the selected haircut. To go to the first step, click on the 'Next step' link. Alternatively, you can scroll to the step navigation line and select a particular step number to go to.
Haircut Guide
This link will load a guide to the selected haircut. This guide is designed to give the student an overview of the haircut.
Test your knowledge
Clicking here will reveal a list of questions which will help you to guage your progress in learning the haircut.
You can select the answer to each question and then click on the 'Submit questions' button. This will take you to a page that will tell you how many questions you have answered correctly and will highlight any incorrect questions to help you to identify your strengths and weaknesses in that particular section of the site.

All of the web pages on the site have been compiled into Adobe Acrobat Files, which contain all of the photographic step-by-steps, haircut guides, questions & answers, diagrams and tips for each of the haircuts, as well as all of the lessons and product sections. This allows all of the material on the website to be printed out for future reference.
In order to view Adobe Acrobat files, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine. This software is available free of charge from the following web address: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Photographs
The photographs on each page of the site are usually available in a high quality version. Simply click on the photograph (or the link below on some browsers) to download the image into a new browser window.
Please note that these high quality photographs may have quite large file sizes, which may take a few minutes to download.
Later versions of Internet Explorer will display the picture at a small size. To display the picture at its full size, click on the 'Expand picture' icon (example shown below) that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the picture.

Diagram
Click on the diagram image (or the link below on some browsers) to reveal the full-size diagrams which illustrate technical points relevant to that section of the site.
Tip
These are contained in a box below the main text and are designed to offer helpful advice relevant to that section of the site.
The Glossary of terms
To find a term in the Glossary (in the Help section), please select the relevant letter from the left-hand menu. Click on the selected letter to go to the relevant page.
